Does your significant other consider himself or herself a connoisseur of the ceramic arts and/or the fine cinematic works of the late, great Patrick Swayze? And are you a hopeless romantic still searching for that perfect Valentine's Day gift? If you responded "yes" to either of those questions, then The Clay Studio of Missoula's Valentine's Day weekend celebration of the 1990 two-time Oscar-winning film Ghost is a can't miss event. Donít expect to see all 127 minutes of the minor masterpiece though, as our focus will be solely on what can safely be called the most iconic ceramic art based cinematic scene ever to grace the silver screen!

Couples are invited to drop by The Clay Studio of Missoula on Sunday, February 13th, from 6-9PM, to show off their best Patrick Swayze/Demi Moore impersonation on one of our many pottery wheels. We will provide the clay, but not the significant others, that part is up to you. However, we will also provide a source of unending inspiration by projecting some of the Ghostís choicest scenes onto the rear wall of our studio. Likewise, artists from The Clay Studio of Missoula will be on hand to help guide any ceramic newcomers among the attendees. This night promises to provide all attendees with the opportunity to forge "A love that will last a lifetime" - in short - this is not an event to miss!

Clark Fork Market Booth: Saturdays (May - October)

If the copious amounts of fresh local produce available at the Clark Fork Market aren’t reason enough for you to make a Saturday morning visit to the market this summer, the Clay Studio’s booth definitely provides ample reason to do so!  Every week Clay Studio artists offer free demonstrations on the potter’s wheel at our market booth. The weekly demonstrations allow many first timers, young and old, to take a turn on the wheel. Although we cannot sell items at the market we always have a sampling of the beautiful works available for purchase back at the studio’s gallery. The market season ends in October so don’t wait too long to come visit us! The Clark Fork market is held every Saturday from 8am-1pm under the Higgins Street Bridge.
