In 2016, Candice Methe was the recipient of the Warren MacKenzie Fellowship through Northern Clay Center, where she had the opportunity to spend a month in Ghana, West Africa working with the women potters learning their indigenous clay methods and their traditional clay houses. She will be giving an artist presentation of her work and about her time spent in Ghana.
Candice Methe has been working in clay for eighteen years. She received her MFA from the University of Minnesota in 2015 and her BFA from Northern Arizona in 2011. Currently she is an educator and studio artist living in Helena Montana, where she works in her home studio and teaches community classes at the Archie Bray.
