Need a dirty idea for your next date night? Come get muddy at the Clay Studio of Missoula with our Pottery Date Night specials! This is a fun, creative way to spend an evening - a unique date you and your partner will never forget! Learn to throw pottery on the wheel or get some practice with your partner by your side! This experience is designed for couples, but it can also be a great opportunity to introduce pottery to a best friend or relative with you by their side.

This date night makes a great teaser if you or your partner have ever thought about taking a pottery class, but aren't sure you'd like to commit to a 10-week session (or if you just want a messy, fun project to do together!) You'll learn the basics with your partner by your side! We'll provide the clay, instruction, and assistance, and maybe even some cheesy romantic music to help make the night special! Participants 21 years of age or older are welcome to bring wine or beer to share with their partner!
As a couple you'll pick 3-4 favorite pots of the night to keep. You'll get a bulletin at the email you provide when they're ready to pick up! Pots can typically be fired by about a month after the workshop date, however many factors like slow drying time or staff illness can make firing time vary greatly. If you have not received an email in 6 weeks alerting you for pickup, you can check in on progress by emailing info@theclaystudioofmissoula.org - please refrain from calling if possible; we have a small, busy staff and emails can be responded to quickly by any member of our team.

- Glazing and firing of up to 4 pots per couple with special colored glaze!
Our mask requirements align with CDC recommendations corresponding to Missoula's risk level. Currently, masks are highly encouraged, though not required.
