This class is designed for intermediate and advanced students interested in creating works to be fired in the soda kiln, utilizing lower/mid range temperatures. In-class demonstrations will include image and surface techniques to apply to handbuilt and wheel thrown forms during this intensive three-week course. One class soda firing will take place after the last class to allow ample time for students to create works over the full session.
Each class enrollment minimum; 4, maximum 8
Included in class fee:
- First bag of clay
- NEW: All firing fees for work created in ALL classes are included in the class fee (size limit- items must not measure more than 20” in any direction)
Not currently included in classes: access to work in studio outside of class meeting time.
Because of our need to monitor the ever-changing situation, we are unable to offer studio access outside of assigned class times. We do look forward to again offering access outside of class again in the future.
We ask that students comply with all of our health and safety guidelines. A student waiver will be issued during the first class meeting with the most up-to-date guidance.
