Open Instruction - Hand Building & Surface
This Wednesday session is appropriate for either handbuilding or people adept with throwing that are looking for guidance on surface and glazing. Ideal for students wishing to continue recent projects and for those with at least basic clay experience that want classroom access through December 20.
This 3 week class is not recommended for students with absolutuely no clay experience.
Wednesday evenings 6-9pm: Three class meetings – December 2-16

Enjoy weekly meetings with an instructor to help you with your project goals and ideas. This class is also appropriate for returning students who are adept at throwing on the wheel but may need instructor guidance on surface, glazing, and handbuilding pointers.
Included in class
- First bag of clay
- Firing fees for work created in class are included in the class fee (size limit- items must not measure more than 20” in any direction)
- access to work in studio outside of class meeting time.
Access outside of class time will be restricted to business hours when other classes and programs are not in session in the classroom. Available times will generally be M 9am-12:30pm, Tu-F 12-5pm and weekend hours based on classroom availability and staffed hours. Your instructor will orient you on how to reserve open studio access on the first day of class.
We ask that students comply with all of our health and safety guidelines. A student waiver will be issued during the first class meeting with the most up-to-date guidance.
