This class is best suited for students with some handbuilding skills or proficiency in throwing

Students will be challenged to mix up their surfaces and/or forms with a variety of textures and processes. We will make some basic texturing tools/stamps to use as decorative mimics of nature and/or whatever inspires. An overview of handbuiding techniques will be demonstrated and students will be encouraged to combine a multitude of techniques when constructing their form.
**For Sara's classes, please be sure to bring a trash bag to wrap your work with!**
Each class enrollment minimum; 4, maximum 8
Included in class fee:
- First bag of clay
- All firing fees for work created in ALL classes are included in the class fee (size limit- items must not measure more than 20” in any direction)
- access to work in studio outside of class meeting time.
Access outside of class time will be restricted to business hours when other classes and programs are not in session in the classroom, plus additional monitored times TBA. Your instructor will orient you on how to reserve open studio access on the first day of class.
We ask that students comply with all of our health and safety guidelines. A student waiver will be issued during the first class meeting with the most up-to-date guidance.
