SPRING CAMP WORK CAN BE PICKED UP STARTING APRIL 22
Learning to throw on the potter's wheel takes practice, practice, practice! Students will learn the basics of wheel throwing and trimming, and learn to create dishes such as mugs, tumblers, and bowls! Great for beginners or teens returning to the wheel. Students 12 years of age and older welcome.
By Clay Studio of Missoula Policy, This camp is limited to students age 12 and up. Full-size pottery wheels are very challenging to use and clean properly, and historically have been inaccessible to students at younger growth milestones. We want to give kids the best chance to succeed at this challenging method so they don't give up on developing this unique set of skills, so we do not make exceptions to this rule.
To ensure instructors have time to safely fire works made in this camp, pieces will be ready for pick up by April 22. On this date, parents may begin picking up their child's work during our public open hours. Works will be available until the end of June, at which point they must be discarded due to limited work storage space.
This class is limited to a total of 9 students.
Our mask requirements align with current CDC guidance according to Missoula's risk level. Currently, masks are strongly recommended, but not required.

Digital Waiver can be found HERE.
In order for children and teens to participate in Clay Studio of Missoula classes, they must have a liability waiver on file with us before the class begins. Once signed, the waiver is valid for the calendar year it is signed with (a waiver dated 2023 would be valid until Jan 1, 2024 for instance). If you would rather download a copy of the waiver so you have a copy for your records, or be sent a physical copy, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Students will be turned away at the door for youth camps without a form on file or in-hand.
