We would love to hear from – or about – people interested in lending their skills, enthusiasm and experience to help guide the Clay Studio of Missoula in serving our community. Board members act as stewards of our mission, ensuring we remain ethical, effective, and sustainable. Contributing your time and talents can help make the Clay Studio of Missoula a stronger organization!
Board Member candidates should be responsible and interested in allotting the time to fulfill board member duties and expectations. Specific attributes we currently seek in prospective Board Members include:

Individuals with interest, and preferably experience, in development and/or capital campaigns.

Individuals with experience in accounting or fiscal oversight, grant writing, outreach program planning, marketing, membership development, and/or fundraising expertise.

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who bring diverse perspectives, community connections, or professional skills that would benefit the growth and well-being of CSoM programs and mission.

Board Recruitment Process
Applications are accepted anytime. However, for our upcoming term we are seeking nominations and applications by December 15, 2025. The CSoM Nominations Committee will contact prospective candidates to discuss board member duties and confirm interest in serving prior to being nominated for inclusion on our Board Election Ballot. CSoM Members will receive a digital ballot to vote for candidates prior to the Annual Member Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday March 3 at 5 p.m. at the Clay Studio of Missoula.
