Volunteer

The Clay Studio of Missoula has a small staff, but a big mission! As a nonprofit we are grateful for every helping hand who pitches in. The Missoula clay community is growing all the time, and helping our studio can keep it a functioning haven for the artists and students we support with our programs and services.

Clay Teens Summer Volunteer Program

Each summer we open up application to passionate teens wishing to learn about the studio, gain experience with clay, and do some service in the community. Application deadline for 2026 is April 3.

Outreach

Our outreach program visits Missoula events throughout the year to bring small, accessible ceramic projects to the public! This program also plays a pivotal role in creating accessibility to ceramics in our community.

Studio Monitoring

Studio Monitors are essential volunteers who enable extended access to our facilities beyond regular staff hours. In exchange for overseeing the studio during these times, monitors can work on their own projects while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for fellow artists. This role is open to adult members with prior experience at the Clay Studio of Missoula. To learn more or apply, please visit our Studio Monitoring page.
