One Day Workshops
Interested in a ceramics class, but don't have time to commit to a full class session? Our short format Community Workshops may be just what you are looking for, where you can experience simple, introductory projects that will get you excited about clay!
There are opportunities for children aged 5-15 to enroll alongside an accompanying adult for select Community Workshops. Please review the specific workshop of interest description for details. Persons aged 16 years or older may enroll in a Community Workshop.
Visiting Artist Workshops give students a chance to learn new techniques and ideas from special guest artists visiting The Clay Studio of Missoula.

General Class Registration Information

Pre-registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. A student will only be registered for a class upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit amounting to half of the class tuition, or by paying in full. If you wish to just make a deposit, this may be done in person or by phone. All online registrations can only be paid in full.

Adult class tuition covers instruction during scheduled meeting times, and your first 25 lbs. of clay, and firing fees.  For supplies included with our workshops, please refer to the workshop description.

Thank you for your interest in our programs! Occasionally people sign up for classes and unexpected situations may arise where taking a class may not work in their schedules. We do have a fair policy in place for cancelations. Please familiarize yourself with our policies before registering in case you do need to make a request to cancel.

If a student chooses to cancel up to 72 hours prior to the first class meeting, a non-refundable deposit will be withheld (see chart below for refund fees).

Refund fees for cancellations made any reason 72 HOURS prior to the first class meeting:
For an adult class or all-day summer kids camp: $50
Youth class/half day camps: $25

Family workshops and one day community workshops: Credit issued by gift certificate towards future class or purchase

If you opt to receive credit towards a future class instead of a refund, you will receive the full amount back in a Gift Certificate toward a future class, minus a $10 processing fee.

No refunds or credits are available for cancelations made less than 72 hours prior to the first class meeting.

In the event that the Clay Studio is forced to cancel a class due to under-enrollment, mandated shut downs, or any other unforeseen circumstance prior to the class starting, a full refund will be issued to the enrolled student. We will do our best to let students know as soon as we can if a cancelation is to occur!

The Clay Studio will offer students a full refund, less an administrative fee ($25 for 1 day workshop, $50 multiple day) up to 28 days before the day of the workshop.  If the Clay Studio is forced to cancel a workshop due to under-enrollment or unforeseen reasons, registrants will receive a full refund for their tuition paid to The Clay Studio of Missoula.
