Our August exhibition features the work of current resident artist Stephanie Dishno. Though figurative works in clay will be a component of the exhibition, Stephanie’s largest featured project will be a large collection of cups she has created that reference the female body and feature a myriad of intimate illustrations.

Summertime High Tea

Please join us for our annual late summer celebration! We will be serving an appetizing selection of high tea themed snacks created by Marianne Forrest. The Clay Studio of Missoula’s talented ceramic artists will provide guests with a handmade cup and plate to take home. Teas by Lake Missoula Tea Company, and other beverages, will be served.
Live music by Chuck Florence, Beth Lo, David Horgan - Jazz Trio.
Proceeds from this online event fund professional development opportunities for long term artists-in-residence at The Clay Studio of Missoula.
Tickets: $80 per person ($5 discount for members)
ticket price includes one plate & one cup to keep, plus food, drink, musical entertainment, and great company!

Apply for our Wood Fire Internship!
Applications due: Friday, August 19 by 5pm
Applicants must be self-motivated and have experience with ceramics, with a particular focus and interest in developing their wood firing skills.
In exchange for time and labor, interns receive access to the community studio space, storage area for their work, and the opportunity to further develop their wood fire practice in a supportive community studio setting.
Wood Fire Internship duration is one year, with the option to continue a second year (limit 2 years)

August Community Resident - Stephanie Kim
For the month of August, Stephanie Kim will be joining us for a short term artist residency at The Clay Studio of Missoula.
Stephanie is a ceramic artist based in San Francisco. She took her first introductory throwing class in 2018 and has not stopped working with clay since. With a background in painting and drawing, Stephanie views clay as a challenging and inspiring canvas. She uses figurative drawings to bring life into her work. After working as a software engineer during the day, she can be found throwing in the studio or on her couch drawing on bisqueware while watching reality TV.
